Global Innovation Meets Indian Expertise: Genourob Presents Dyneelax at the Pune Knee Course 2025
From April 24th to 26th, 2025, the Genourob team had the privilege of attending the Pune Knee Course (PKC)—a landmark event in orthopaedic education and one of the most significant gatherings for knee surgeons in India. With over 1,500 orthopaedic surgeons in attendance from across India and abroad, the event served as a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange, skill development, and the exploration of cutting-edge technologies in knee ligament surgery. Representing Genourob were Stéphane Nouveau, CEO, and Yves Crystal, who engaged with surgeons, researchers, and healthcare providers throughout the 3-day event.
We were honored to be hosted by Dr. Sachin Tapasvi, the chief organizer of the Pune Knee Course and one of the most respected orthopaedic surgeons in India. A long-time advocate for surgical excellence and objective diagnostic practices, Dr. Tapasvi is also a Dyneelax user, having integrated the system into his clinical workflow. His deep commitment to evidence-based care and advanced biomechanical tools made Dyneelax a natural fit within the scientific and clinical discussions that unfolded throughout the course.
A Global Benchmark in Knee Surgery Education
The Pune Knee Course has grown rapidly in stature over the past decade and now stands as a reference in the Asia-Pacific region for its high-level scientific content, live surgical demonstrations, and hands-on workshops. Organized by the Tapasvi Clinic and Musculoskeletal Center (T.C.M.C.), the course brings together orthopaedic surgeons specializing in sports medicine, joint preservation, ligament reconstruction, and joint replacement.
This year’s theme centered on clinical precision, surgical refinement, and multidisciplinary collaboration—ideals that align perfectly with the philosophy behind Dyneelax. Our presence at the event wasn’t just about technology—it was about showing how robotic laximetry is revolutionizing knee diagnostics and treatment planning.
Dyneelax in Action: From Clinical Exam to MRI to Robotic Laximetry
One of the standout moments of the Pune Knee Course 2025 was Dr. Tapasvi’s use of Dyneelax live in front of the audience, as part of his detailed clinical case discussions. In several sessions, he took participants through a patient journey that began with:
Clinical examination findings
Followed by MRI imaging
And concluded with Dyneelax laxity testing results
This layered approach gave attendees a comprehensive view of how the Dyneelax device confirms, refines, or challenges the initial clinical hypothesis. By juxtaposing subjective assessments with objective robotic measurements, Dr. Tapasvi highlighted the diagnostic power of Dyneelax in both ACL-only injuries and more complex multi-ligament instabilities.
The response from surgeons was overwhelmingly positive. Many acknowledged the persistent issue of variability in manual laxity testing and how Dyneelax could provide standardized, reproducible, and quantifiable results to assist in both diagnosis and surgical planning. The real-time correlation between MRI findings and robotic data sparked strong interest, particularly among surgeons managing high volumes of sports injuries and revision ACL cases.
High Visibility at the Exhibition Booth
Our booth at PKC 2025 drew a steady flow of surgeons eager to see Dyneelax up close. With multiple large-screen demonstrations, we showcased the full diagnostic interface, real-time data acquisition, and the comparison features that make Dyneelax a true decision-making companion for orthopaedic specialists.
Surgeons appreciated the ability to evaluate both anterior translation and rotational stability, as well as the device’s intuitive reporting system. The Dyneelax interface offers clear visualizations that can be understood by surgeons, patients, and physiotherapists alike—encouraging multidisciplinary use from diagnosis to rehabilitation.
A major highlight was also our collaboration with Everest Medical Technologies, our distributor in India. Ganesh Devrajan, founder and director of Everest, welcomed us warmly and played a key role in coordinating our presence at the congress. His deep knowledge of the Indian orthopaedic landscape and his established relationships with leading hospitals and surgeons ensured that our technology reached the right audience. We’re extremely grateful for his professionalism and vision in making Dyneelax accessible across India.
Why India? Why Now?
India is experiencing a profound shift in musculoskeletal care. As sports participation grows and surgical techniques become increasingly advanced, Indian surgeons are seeking ways to enhance diagnostic objectivity, personalize treatment plans, and track recovery outcomes more accurately.
This is where Dyneelax stands out. With capabilities that go far beyond manual testing, our robotic arthrometer offers:
Quantitative ACL, ALL, and PLC testing
Objective assessments for surgical decision-making
Reliable tools for research and teaching
Scalable use in both outpatient and OR settings
The enthusiasm we witnessed at the Pune Knee Course confirmed that the Indian orthopaedic community is ready to embrace the next generation of diagnostic tools—and Dyneelax is ideally positioned to meet this demand.
The Importance of Scientific Integration
A recurring theme at PKC 2025 was the role of evidence-based decision-making. In an environment where surgical outcomes are increasingly scrutinized, tools like Dyneelax allow clinicians to document baseline instability, measure post-operative improvement, and validate return-to-play decisions with confidence.
We were pleased to connect with surgeons eager to conduct new clinical studies using Dyneelax, and we look forward to expanding the already growing body of literature supporting robotic laximetry.
Our participation also sparked interest in including Dyneelax in orthopaedic training curricula, helping residents and fellows gain early exposure to objective assessment tools that will define the future of knee surgery.
A Word of Thanks
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Dr. Sachin Tapasvi for his incredible leadership and for integrating Dyneelax into his scientific presentations during the event. His willingness to showcase our technology in front of a highly knowledgeable audience validated years of innovation and clinical collaboration.
We also thank Ganesh Devrajan and the team at Everest Medical Technologies for their strategic support and continued partnership. Their passion for advancing healthcare in India is matched by their drive to make high-tech solutions accessible and practical for Indian clinicians.
